Car Model Displayer

Both automobile enthusiasts, my friend and I share a passion for collecting model cars. One time when I was visiting his house, he showed his collection, displayed behind a glass case. I found this too static; I believe a car is the most beautiful way when it is in motion, soaring on the track. Inspired by this image, I sought to create a display case that would convey the feeling of speed.

I built the case with banked surfaces, reminiscent of the track styles of NASCAR, to emphasize motion and momentum. Inspired by the winding, roller coaster style tracks from Hot Wheels, I also embedded an upside down turn into my design, suggesting that cars can defy gravity. Lastly, the center stage of this piece references the parking lot chase in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.

The end result is much more than just a display case; it’s a tribute to the energy and imagination that make cars thrilling in the first place.
