Entropy

This piece represents my internal conflict and transformation from an immature, stubborn, and pretentious boy who rejected opposing ideas, toward a more balanced adolescent who strives for humility and calm confidence.

The vibrant colors, patterns, and textures used on the “dinner table” represent a variety of perspectives, which in this case are the ones my family indoctrinates during dinnertime. On the contrary, the monochromatic and charcoal shaded self image represents the young, stubborn me that held a “black and white” perception of the world.
